PROJECT LYP LIBRARY
Purpose:
To be the ultimate resource center for LYP club members and YPs (young professionals).
Description:
The library will stock books to help members in their personal and professional development. It will stock books in genre such as management, marketing, leadership, business, economics, politics, motivational, fiction etc. Club member will borrow the books free while non members and the community will borrow books at a small charge to cater for the administrative cost.
Project Timelines.
May 30th 2009: Approval of the project by club board – done
June 13th 2009: Constitute the Library Committee/First Meeting
June 13th Onward: Getting Materials.
June 27th 2009: Library Committee Second Meeting.
11th July 2009: Library Committee Third Meeting.
17th July 2009: Book Drive
25th July 2009: Library committee 5th meeting; Long term plans.
Where we are?
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate YPs who want to push the project to be a success. If you want to part of the team that will work on this exciting project, drop me an email at francis.mwangi.chege@gmail.com.
We are also seeking for pledges & donations from donors and YPs. If you have a book(s) you can donate, email me on the above address, and then we can arrange on how we can have the book collected. We also encourage LYP club members to bring their donation during our fortnight club meetings. If you also have ideas or contacts that can help us in the project, feel free to contact us too.
